Foundation staff members are here to help you and your church with giving needs. Many donors choose to make gifts of appreciated assets, transfers of stock and other financial contributions.

Gifts of stock

Donors can submit an online request form to the Foundation to initiate gifts of stock. These gifts are tax deductible just like cash gifts, with the added bonus of avoiding capital gains tax. This service is offered as a courtesy to individuals and families in the Western North Carolina Conference.

Once submitted, the donor’s instructions will be forwarded to the Foundation office, and the donor will receive a tax acknowledgement letter after the donation is completed.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund with the Foundation is a great option for a church member looking for an end-of-year deduction, but who wants more time to decide on the particulars of a gift. The donor can make grants now and in the future to support your church and other nonprofits.
